Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Employee commitment refers to the psychological attachment and loyalty employees feel toward their organization, which influences their performance, motivation, and retention. Corporate communication is a key factor in shaping employee commitment by fostering transparency, trust, and engagement within an organization. In Kankara Local Government Area, Katsina State, many organizations face challenges in cultivating strong employee commitment due to communication gaps, unclear organizational goals, and a lack of employee involvement in decision-making. This study explores how corporate communication influences employee commitment in Kankara Local Government Area, examining the communication strategies that enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty to their organizations.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the importance of employee commitment for organizational success, many organizations in Kankara Local Government Area struggle to maintain high levels of commitment among their employees. Communication breakdowns, lack of engagement, and insufficient feedback mechanisms contribute to low employee morale and retention.
